Versioning and Upgrade

Versioning

• AlphaSense uses semantic versioning for product release versioning vX.Y.Z
• AlphaSense supports only 2 latest minor version
• AlphaSense usually publishes a new release every month
  • There might be an exception.

Supported Versions*

AlphaSense Intelligence product deployed to any customer has a connection to the AlphaSense counterpart. All unsupported versions lose the performance guarantees, customer support, and some features might be unavailable such as fetching public documents.

Upgrade

Version upgrade is very similar to getting-started process. When the operator selects a version to upgrade there will be a form with prefilled data. Once all the required fields are populated, there is generated a new manifest that needs to be applied similar to the initial process.

• preferably, the latest version should be installed
• installation is an idempotent operation and can be performed multiple times
